How to prepare for a pro-democracy flash mob:
1. Watch videos of other flash mobs on YouTube to get a sense of the concept
2. Listen to the song “We’re Not Gonna Take It (2024 Remaster)” and learn the lyrics (try this quiz to help you learn them!)
3. Review the simple stage directions
4. Show up at the location on time and BRING YOUR DEFIANT ENERGY WITH YOU!
If you’d like to, you can also:
* Dress up as a “character” such as a business person, a construction worker, a nurse, a student etc–anyone who is not planning to protest. Your participation in the flash mob will be even more surprising to observers!
* Make sneaky signs with short messages
(sneaky signs are signs that can be discreetly brought into flash-mob sites)
* Print out flyers to distribute as the flash mob disperses
*Make/bring noisemakers
* Record video of observers or participants and upload it here for the video edit
* Join the Signal chat to stay in touch with other flash mobbers
