- October 1: recommended deadline for requesting an absentee ballot
- October 9: mailed-in voter registration forms must be postmarked
- October 15-31: Early voting including same-day voter registration
- October 27: deadline for requesting an absentee ballot

- November 6: absentee ballots must be received by board of elections

How to vote
- Find your polling place and vote in person on Election Day November 3, between 6:30 am-7:30 pm: Look up your polling place at https://vt.ncsbe.gov/PPLkup
- Find any early voting site in the county and vote early October 15-31: List of early voting centers in Lenoir and Pitt Counties. Or use this site to find your county’s early voting locations at https://vt.ncsbe.gov/ossite/
- Vote by Mail by requesting an absentee ballot by October 1. (Deadline is October 27). Absentee ballots must be postmarked by November 3 and received by the board of elections by November 6. Request your absentee ballot online at: votebymail.ncsbe.gov or print this absentee ballot request form: https://s3.amazonaws.com/dl.ncsbe.gov/Forms/NCAbsenteeBallotRequestForm.pdf
AND - Deliver your absentee ballot by USPS mail, FedEx, or UPS; or deliver to an early voting site in your county October 15-31; or deliver in person by 5 pm on election day to your county board of elections. Check the status of your ballot at: northcarolina.ballottrax.net
- Voters who need a ride to the polls can call the Lenoir County Democratic Party headquarters at 252-643-2201, 10-8 pm Monday-Saturday
Required documents for same-day voter registrants:
Same-day registrants must provide proof of where they live by showing any of the following documents with their current name and address:
- North Carolina driver’s license
- Other photo identification issued by a government agency. Any government-issued photo ID is acceptable, provided that the card includes the voter’s current name and address.
- A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document showing the voter’s name and address
- A current college/university photo identification card paired with proof of campus habitation.
